Last updated: May 14, 2026
This page explains how authorized users of the Access Control (Badge Scanner) mobile application (the “App”), published by Hindavi, can request deletion of their login account and associated data. The App is used by event and venue staff to scan visitor badges and validate entry at assigned spaces.
How to request account deletion
- Send an email to shitalpawar@hindavi.in with the subject line: Access Control — account deletion request.
- Include your username used to log in to the App, the event name (if known), and the organization that gave you access.
- State whether you want to delete your login account only, or also request removal of scan records you created while using the App.
- We will verify your identity with your event organizer or employer before processing the request.
- You will receive a confirmation email when the request is completed or if we need more information (typically within 30 days).
If your account was created by your event organizer, you may also contact them directly to disable your access.
What data is deleted
When your account deletion request is approved, we delete or deactivate:
- Your App login account (username and credentials on our servers).
- Active authentication tokens associated with your account.
- Server-side scan and operational records linked to your user account, if you asked for those to be removed and your organizer approves.
What data may be kept
- Event records required by the organizer: Badge scan logs may be retained by the event operator for compliance, reporting, or audit if required by contract or law — even after your account is removed.
- Backups: Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 90 days, after which it is overwritten in the normal backup cycle.
- Legal and security logs: Minimal technical logs (for example security or fraud prevention) may be kept for up to 12 months where required by law.
Data on your device
The App stores scan data and session information on your device (including offline scans). Logging out does not erase this local data. To remove data stored only on your phone or scanner:
- Open your device Settings → Apps → Access Control (or the installed app name) → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall the App.
Clearing app storage removes locally saved scans and login state on that device only. It does not delete server records; use the email steps above for account deletion on our systems.
Delete some data without deleting your account
Yes. You may email shitalpawar@hindavi.in to request correction or deletion of specific scan or export data without closing your entire account. We will process these requests with your event organizer where needed.
